As a proud single mother of a 12-year-old son, I’ve always strived to balance my professional aspirations with my parenting responsibilities, often going the extra mile to overcome the biases against working single parents in corporate America. This period not only tested my abilities to balance professional and personal responsibilities, but it also exposed the gaps in assistance for working parents, notably in terms of educational and extracurricular activities for our children.
