+1-888-597-3962 How to Remove a Language from Windows 10?
There is no doubt that from beginning Windows has supported multiple languages. Now, it is also providing many installed languages on your computer system. You are able to use one for your display, besides this, another one you can be used for typing, and so on. However, Windows 10 is also offering an option to change the language easily which makes it the comfort to switch between them during the typing. But sometime, you may be facing an issue with this feature that is unable to remove a language on Windows 10.
When you install languages which share a common base language that time you can get this issue. So you need for English UK, English US, and English India. With the help of this post, you will be able to uninstall any of these languages form Preferred languages list. This becomes an irritating issue if you have just installed them for trying out, but not actually typing work. The input selector keeps you bugging now, and then this issue will shoe on your Windows 10.
How to get rid with this language removal problem from Windows 10
Go to the Start menu and then search for PowerShell.
Right-click on the Windows Powershell from the search results and then select the Run as administrator.
Now, you should type or copy/paste the following command which is the given below, and then press the Enter key.
After entering this command, make a note of the “LanguageTag” listed for the language which one you want to uninstall.
You will do it in the next step.
After that, type or copy/paste the below-given commands, and then press on the Enter key.
$LangList = Get-WinUserLanguageList
$MarkedLang = $LangList | where LanguageTag -eq “<languagecode>”
Set-WinUserLanguageList $LangList -Force
In the following above mentioned commands, in the place of typing <languagecode>, replace it with the language that one you want to remove, for example- en-IN for English (India).
This process will work for you, but in case, it is not doing work then here is on more way to get rid of this problem which might be a lot easier.
These languages remain because they are similar to another, and used on your display, and used language. What one person suggested is to change setting at Region & language/languages/windows display language to something else other than the one you want to remove it. Go to the lower bottom of the language at preferred languages menu and then restart your computer system, then remove the language that you don’t want on your PC.
Although Microsoft has launched this as a feature to guide users who want to use multiple languages, they need to solve this issue. Instead, we would rather like an option where we can select if this language should be available with input or display or need to be available in touch.
