[When you do ask for something it is usually something that will give you pleasure; something you lust after. Ask for the things you need from God to further His Kingdom, not the things that will just please your flesh body]. 1 John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: [We can be sure that God will listen to us whenever we ask for anything in line with His will. Ask for things of the spirit, or wisdom to help you in teaching His Word; "God loves that." It’s not all about material things and money]. 1 John 5:15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. [If we really know He is listening when we pray to Him, then we can be sure He will answer us in some way. May not be the way we want or need; It will be His will, not be our will.
