We all die once! | |
We all die once: God's elect, saved, unsaved, all humans, etc. die at least once. This is the first death and {the first resurrection (my opinion)}. Then, when the real Christ returns (2nd advent) all that are alive here on earth are changed into their spiritual bodies. This point in time is known as the beginning of the millennium; Jesus Christ along with His elect will reign for one thousand years (Bible boot camp so to speak). At this time some have immortal (deathlessness) souls (His elect, over-comers, immune from the second death) and some have mortal (liable to die) souls (non-overcomers, all others?) and are subject to the second death unless they become immortal. What happens at the end of the one thousand years? Satan is released for a short season. I see this as a final test for the ones with mortal souls; the reason for the test is to see whether they have learned and done what is necessary to enter the eternity (God wants to know)! If not, into the lake of fire with Satan (gone forever, even the memory of them; no tears in heaven/eternity; this is the second death) (God is a consuming fire). This particular judgment is known as the Great White Throne judgment; the final judgment (no more judgments needed). For those that have learned and done what is necessary to enter the eternity, they become immune from the second death and experience the second resurrection (they enter the eternity); they made the cut; they're not quitters. Also, God's elect enter the eternity along with the ones that (overcame/passed the test) during the millennium! Remember, God's elect are immune to the second death; they are not subject to the test that happens at the end of the millennium. My thoughts: I believe the millennium to be a period in which discipline is paramount (rod of iron). Why would discipline be paramount? All those with mortal (liable to die) souls must listen to the truth from Christ and His elect; they didn't do this for whatever the reason in the flesh age. The question is: Will those with mortal souls believe what is taught (God's truths) or believe in and follow Satan to the end (remain defiant)? Those that choose to remain defiant will not be allowed to enter the eternity, they experience the second death; they do not experience the second resurrection into the eternity. This is still a work in progress for me. As always, continue to study your Bibles completely. ![]() | |
