Acts 5:32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him. [What happens to those that don't obey Him? The Holy Spirit is not given to them based on this verse. The word “Ghost” should have been translated into “Spirit”. God's Holy Spirit is not a spook]. Hebrews 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; [Who was made perfect? Who is the author of eternal salvation? Jesus Christ. Also, is this conditional, in other words, does it say we must obey Him? I believe it means exactly what it says, and nothing else]. What would be the better choice? Choose to obey Him or choose not to obey Him? The better choice, obviously, is to choose to obey Him. Just so you know, no human is perfect; we all make mistakes once in a while. That is the purpose of repentance. Once we realize we have messed up, repent! Get back on track. 2 Corinthians 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. [Christ and the doctrines He teaches us are meant to be simple. They are not meant to be complicated and only understood by a few that think they have special insight to those doctrines. Don't allow yourself to become deceived like Eve was by the serpent. (Hebrews 13:9, Titus 1:14-15, 1 John 4:1, Revelation 12:9). Where do you find God's truths? In His word, John 17:17. It is a really good idea to obey Him and study those truths as we are commanded to do in 2 Timothy 2:15. Study the entire Bible my friends].  | |
