The great apostasy!

What is apostasy? The abandonment or renunciation of a religious or political belief. [See Isaiah 6:12 and 2 Thessalonians 2:3, 10-11]. At the sixth trump, Satan as the antichrist, presents himself exactly as the whole world expects the real Christ to act. Satan will masquerade as the true Christ. Satan will look, sound and feel like the true Christ [See 2 Thessalonians 2:4]. The purpose of the great apostasy is to prepare the way for the antichrist. Why is it called great apostasy? Because so many fall away [great numbers]! Biblical illiteracy is the reason; not knowing the truth makes one vulnerable to deception. More and more people are being led away from God and His outstretched saving arms through self imposed biblical illiteracy [laziness, indifference, etc.]. Study the Bible and try the spirits. 1 John 4:1.

There is so much confusion today! Who is the author of that confusion? It's not God!! Satan's most favorite area of operation is that of religion, the religious realm [man made rituals and ceremonies, commandments and doctrines of men]. It is not the arena of crime and immorality [Satan controls these folks already]. Satan tried to tempt Christ Himself out in the wilderness. With what? Scripture!! [Satan was unsuccessful though!!] Does Jesus try to deceive you with scripture? Never, only Satan and his followers do!! Choose to live in God's true Word. The message is always the same. Study the Bible for yourself, supplement what you learn in church. You will be amazed at what you discover! Might want to start with the following verses: Matthew 10:16, 15:9; Mark 7:7; 1 Corinthians 14:33; Titus 1:14 [fables and commandments of men turn you from the truth]; Revelation 12:9 [how much of the world does he deceive?]

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition. (2 Thessalonians 2:3).

Does this apply to the professing Christian? It sure does... The Apostle Paul tells us that a time would come when even the professing Christian would be in danger. It is called the "Great Apostasy." There will be a "Great Falling Away" in the end time before the return of Anti-Christ, the son of perdition [Satan].

For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. (2 Thessalonians 2:7).

The evil is present right now! We are speaking of Satan here. The works of Satan are already going on. That war in heaven is already taking place till Michael casts Satan out of heaven. (Revelation 12:7-9). "Satan is not here on earth yet, but his evil spirit and it's influence is here!" Watch the news.

I Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils. [The Holy Spirit tells us; that in the latter times many will fall away (the apostasy), from the faith (the true teachings of Christ), and listen to a bunch of false teachers and traditions of men which leads to the mark of the beast.]
1 Timothy 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron. [These teachers will tell lies for so long that it becomes part of them and their conscience does not even bother them. They listen to lies for so long that they become seared. (the Greek meaning is cauterized).]

Would you like to know a MYSTERY, something which is unknown to most people because they have never read the scriptures with understanding or without the preconceived traditions of men distorting their comprehension? That man of sin, that son of perdition Paul said will be revealed, will be REVEALED to the world AS JESUS CHRIST, not some bad dude who goes around killing people!
Therefore, the mystery is that the FIRST Jesus who appears will actually be Satan, the impostor, the false messiah, BUT the whole world with the exception of those who have the seal of God [His Word] in their foreheads (Rev. 9:4) will believe that he is the real Jesus Christ and will worship him as God!
THAT IS the GREAT APOSTASY!
Do you now see why the any-moment Rapture Theory is such a dangerous doctrine? It sets people up for the fall, even the great falling away, doesn't it?
