We went on a hunt to find the best Texas junipers to make the best Texas gin. Texas has 8 species of junipers, but only two make exceptional gin. We found them in West Texas. We hand-forage the Alligator juniper above 5000 feet in the West Texas mountains to make our WildBark West Texas Dry Gin. The Alligator juniper is the biggest, boldest of all junipers in Texas and our WildBark West Texas Dry Gin is a bolder Texas take on a London Dry. We hand-forage the rare Redberry juniper—not found in any other US state— in the high plains of west Texas (above 3000 feet) to make our WildJune Western Style Gin. WildJune boasts 11 botanicals—all complementing the unusual sweetness of this rare juniper. WildJune is our sassy, sweet and sophisticated mate to the smooth and classy WildBark West Texas Dry. At WildGins, not only are our Texas junipers unique, but our trees are special too. Our trees are family, and family members have names. Hence, every single bottle of WildJune and WildBark Gins has the name of the specific tree that provided the berries that went into that batch. Each small batch of WildGins is made with berries from an individual tree. To honor our trees and their individuality, we put that batch-specific tree name on our label making WildGins a single-origin gin.  | |
