Many don't see it! | |
All verses come from a KJV Bible. God has plans. From the very beginning when He created this world, He had a plan. For day and night, heavens and earth, land and sea, sun and moon, birds and fish, animals and humans, He has always had a plan. And just four verses into His Word, we see that He likes His plan. He calls it good. Indeed, near the end of creation, He calls His plan very good. (Genesis 1). His plan is good because of the purpose it will serve. It is good because of the hope it will give. It is good because of the lives it will save. But really, it is good simply because of the God who calls it so. Creation had only to be created for it to be called good. But still, God has plans. He has them for you. He knew the span of your life before you were formed in your mother’s womb. He knows the hairs on your head, the thoughts in your mind, and the hours that you will live on this earth. He would not leave such attention to detail merely to chance. God has plans for you, and they are good. *Here are some Bible verses that prove that God has plans for your life. May they fill your mind with peace and your heart with comfort as you soak up the knowledge that God’s plans for your life are not for disaster, but for hope. How do you soak up the knowledge that He wants you to attain? Through diligent study of His word, cover to cover. Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (Notice this is conditional; “to them that love God”). Proverbs 16:9 A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps. Psalm 32:8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. 1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. (Again, conditional). Psalm 37:23-24 The steps of a good man are by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand. Proverbs 19:21 There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand. Isaiah 14:24 The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand: (His plan will happen regardless of what man says or does; you can count on it). Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: God has a plan. Everything we see and do fits into that plan somehow. Do I understand it all? No; only some of it, but, I accept it all without question; by the way, that is called faith (no ifs, ands or maybes). No fence sitting allowed! You either accept His plan or you don’t. Luke 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do”. What did Jesus really mean? Could there be more than one thing meant in this statement by Jesus? 1. We know that those responsible for His crucifixion either didn't know or didn't believe He was the only begotten Son of God. Again, is there more to His statement? Could it have meant even more? 2. Was His crucifixion part of God's plan from way back; see 1 John 3:8 below. I certainly believe it was part of God's plan. For example, totally accurate events, sayings and a physical description of the crucifixion of Jesus are presented in Psalm 22 and other places such as Isaiah 53. Psalm 22 was written about one thousand years prior to the crucifixion. Remember, all scripture is given by the inspiration of God (2 Timothy 3:16). 1 John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. [This verse and others, such as Hebrews 2:14, tell us of at least one purpose for His crucifixion and death. There may be other reasons we can't fathom]. A pertinent old saying follows: You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink. (You can lead a person to truth but you can’t make them believe it). Regardless, study the Bible entirely. Don't just cherry pick a verse here and there. Get a more complete picture through personal study of God’s word and plant those seeds of truth when and where possible . ![]() | |
