Lime slurry production process wastewater treatment equipment applications
BACKGROUND: Wastewater from lime slurry production contains large amounts of calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)₂) in suspension, and the wastewater has a high pH and contains alkaline pollutants. This type of wastewater treatment requires effective removal of suspended particles and adjustment of its pH. Use of equipment: Sedimentation pumps: are used to transfer the lime slurry wastewater from the sedimentation tanks to subsequent neutralization tanks or filtration equipment. Wear and corrosion resistance of the sedimentation pumps is critical to cope with the particulate matter and alkaline content of the wastewater. Air Compressor and Neutralization System: An air compressor is used to provide compressed air in the neutralization system to promote adequate mixing of the lime slurry wastewater with the acidic conditioner to ensure pH neutrality for discharge. Blower and air flotation system: The blower provides gas support for the air flotation system, which effectively removes suspended lime particles from the wastewater and reduces the load of solids on the subsequent treatment unit. Multi-stage centrifugal pumps: Multi-stage centrifugal pumps are used to transfer the treated wastewater to the recycled water system or other treatment units to ensure that the effluent pressure and flow rate meets the demand of subsequent treatment. Results: Through the use of settling pumps, air compressors and blowers, the suspended particles in the lime slurry wastewater are effectively separated, the pH is effectively adjusted, and the final discharge standard is met, and water recycling is realized in some processes. www.bit.ly/powrix-pumps
