Humble as a child! Matthew 18:3 (KJV) And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. [We adults sometimes describe a child's mind as being like a sponge; we should also become like them and absorb the truth of His Word. What happens if one doesn't become like a child? See Matthew 10:15 below]. Matthew 18:4 (KJV) Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. [“Humble” means submissive, accepting without doubt]. Mark 10:14 (KJV) But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Mark 10:15 (KJV) Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. [“As a little child” means what? The children had total faith in Jesus; they didn't doubt His teachings, they absorbed them and believed what He told them. Jesus is giving all of us a really good example to follow]. 2 Corinthians 11:3 (KJV) But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. [Don't allow yourself to be deceived in any manner, Christ's teachings and His doctrines are simple and easy to understand. As stated in above verses, receive His Kingdom as a little child, no need to make it complicated. Get it straight from His word through personal study. See 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV). You don't have to be a seminary graduate to understand the Bible]. 2 questions: Is the Bible meant to be understood only by a certain few? What would be its purpose if that were the case? If you feel the need to gain in Godly wisdom (if you want to understand more of His Word), ask Him for that wisdom. He gives you what you need. See James 1:5 (KJV).
