(Jesus is saying, look at your own faults first before you point out the faults of others. In other words, clean up your own act first with truths from God's word. Don't be a hypocritical, holier than thou sort). Luke 6:42 Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye. (Jesus is saying, how can you say to someone, 'Let me help you with the small speck (sin) in your eye,' when you can't see past the huge board (sin) in your own eye? Don't think you are better than anyone, when you cannot even discern the truth about yourself! Learn the truths from God's Word first, then you can share those truths and lovingly help others). Ecclesiastes 7:20; Romans 3:23; (We are all sinners. We are all in the same boat. No one is any better than anyone else. Clean up your own act first). Acts 10:34 (God is not a respecter of persons. He doesn't show partiality to anyone. He doesn't discriminate for any reason. All get treated/judged equally and fairly. We get exactly what we deserve from Him. See Deuteronomy 10:17 and 2 Samuel 14:14).
