Grated apples are used in this version of milk based kheer recipe for Navratri fasting. The texture of apple pudding is famous for being creamy and melt in your mouth. Due to the fact that the primary ingredients are apples and milk, this dish is also known as premium kheer.
One such recipe is Kheer, which is made across India at different times. The best thing about kheer recipe is that it is very easy to make and hence people of all age groups make it. Apple Kheer Recipe known to be creamy and delicious is one such simple kheer recipe.
As I mentioned earlier, Kheer is a simple dessert that can be made anywhere in the country. my own culinary journey began with a simple semiya kheer and gulab jamun recipe. To be honest, at that time I did not know many recipes of kheer. however, if you have been reading my blog, you must have seen that i have shared many types of kheer earlier. Following this tradition, I am going to share the recipe of Premium Apple Kheer Recipe. The sweetness and bitterness of apples make this dish beautiful. However, which apple to use is entirely up to you. In this recipe, I have used the famous Pink Lady Apple.
however, i would like to supplement this creamy apple pudding recipe with additional hints, tips and variations. to begin with, i would heavily recommend using full fat milk for any kheer recipe, not just this one. If you want your kheer to taste bland, do not use skimmed or conditioned milk. secondly, i have used only grated apple in this recipe, but you can also use other fruits if you want. Some examples are pears, dried fruits, banana pieces and even mango pieces. Last but not least, check that both the milk and applesauce are at room temperature before adding them. Since you are adding it to milk, you need to be careful else your milk may curdle.

Ingredients for Apple Kheer:
1 apple red
1 tsp ghee
3 cups full cream milk
4-5 threads of saffron
¼ cup condensed milk
¼ tsp cardamom powder
2 tbsp dry fruits, chopped

Method for making apple kheer:
1. To make apple kheer, we have to take a thick fresh apple. Wash it and peel it. Now grate the apple with the help of a grater.
2. Now we have to take a pan and put the grated apple in the pan. You do not have to heat the pan very fast, otherwise the color of the apple will turn brown.
3. Now we have to take 1 tsp desi ghee with grated apple. Now you have to cook the apple till it is on medium heat. Until the apple water dries up completely.
4. Now you have to cool it and keep it aside.
5. Now we have to take a pan, pour 3 cups of full cream milk in it and boil the milk well by adding 4-5 strands of saffron.
6. When the milk boils well, add 1/4 cup condensed milk and mix it well.
7. Cook the milk till it thickens well. If you have less time, you can also add mawa to thicken it.
8. Now we have to add 1/4 tsp cardamom powder in the milk and mix it well and keep it to cool down. Check the milk whether the milk is at room temperature or warm.
9. If the milk has cooled down, then add the cooked cold apple in the milk and mix it. Keep in mind that the temperature of both apple and milk should be equal to room temperature. Otherwise the milk may curdle.
10. Now we have to cover the kheer and keep it in the fridge to cool down. When the kheer cools down, take out the kheer and decorate the apple kheer with dry fruits. Now your apple kheer is ready, enjoy it to the fullest and you can eat this kheer even during fasting. Because it is fruitful along with energy.
