Contemporary African art is a vibrant and dynamic expression of the diverse cultures, histories, and experiences found across the African continent. It encompasses a wide range of artistic disciplines, including painting, sculpture, photography, installation art, and mixed media, among others. The Art News Africa Foundation’s mission is to support contemporary artists from Africa and with African heritage – as well as to grow the relevance of art in Africa and showcase art from the continent globally. It does so by funding initiatives in line with this mission and by supporting the build-up of the ANA Collection. The first commitments made by ANA Foundation are towards the Lagos Biennial & the CCA Berlin – Center for Contemporary Arts.
