Artificial intelligence AI was invented in 1951 by Christopher Strachey, who was the director of the programming research group at Oxford University. Christopher wrote the first AI program and ran it on the Ferranti Mark I computer at the university of Manchester. Since then, AI and computers started evolving until the release of ChatGPT from OpenAI which was the biggest AI boom.
