Study verses 2–6 in this book and chapter also. If it doesn't match His word, drop it, forget it. If it does match with His word, hold on to it, remember it]. You search the scriptures daily so you can become familiar with God's word. How can you tell if someone is deceiving you if you know little or nothing about the scriptures? You wouldn't be able to tell. Alleviate the problem through personal, diligent study of His word, daily like the Bereans. Far too many don’t know we are commanded to study His word in 2 Timothy 2:15. Seek Him! Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: [What can a person expect if they don't seek Him]? 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
