MOST FAMOUS 2 DAY TOUR ITINARY
Day 1. Aurangabad to Ajanta Caves to Aurangabad.
We kept the whole day for Ajanta Caves, Ajanta is 110 km away from Aurangabad. And about two and a half hours drive from Aurangabad city. We will pick you up from the hotel or your selected pickup point and leave for Ajanta.
The Ajanta caves mostly contain Buddhist sculptures. The main attraction is the intricate paintings on the walls depicting the tales of Jataka tales which are related to Buddhism. There are 26 caves here, out of which cave no. 1, 2, 16, 17, 19 and 26 should be memorized.
Private vehicles have to be parked outside the Ajanta cave complex. After that, you will have to take the official tourist transport, a 10-minute drive to the Ajanta Caves. Shuttle Buses run every 15-20 minutes. After the end of Ajanta, you can have lunch if you want. Our driver will show you a nice restaurant and after that we will come back to Aurangabad and stop at the hotel.
The entry fee for Ajanta Caves is Rs. 40/- per person for Indian and for Foreigner Rs. 600/-
Note: There is no flash allowed for photography in Ajanta and one has to remove the shoes in all caves. To avoid that, if you can carry polythene socks, then you do not need to remove shoes again and again. And Ajanta caves close on every Monday.
Day 2. Aurangabad to Ellora Caves to Dawlatabad Fort to Bibi Ka Maqbara to Aurangabad.
After breakfast we will start our tour to Ellora Caves at 8:00. Ellora is 35 km away from Aurangabad. It takes 1 hour to go.
In the early morning we will walk towards Ellora caves. On the way, we visited Ghrishneshwar Temple, a centuries old Jyotirlinga temple near Ellora Caves. So this is a quick 10 minute stop and back on your onward journey towards Ellora Caves.
Ellora Caves is another UNESCO World Heritage Site monument and an integral part of your Aurangabad trip. There are total 34 caves in Ellora, cave no. 5, 10, 12, 21 22, 29 and 32 are worth watching. But you must visit Cave No.16. This is the best cave in Ellora and also the largest carved Kailash temple in the world.
Ticket price Rs. 40/ per person for Indian and 600/ for Foreigner
After the sightseeing of Ellora, you will have lunch, after that the fort of Davaltabad, and in the last Bibi ka Maqbara, which you can also call a copy of the Taj Mahal.
After the tour is over, we will drop you off at your selected point in Aurangabad City.
Note:- You can use flash in Ellora and no need to remove shoes. And Ellora caves close On every Tuesday.
