No respecter of persons!
God is not a respecter of persons! This is a KJV Bible study guide. 1 Samuel 16:7 But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart. [God doesn't look at our outer appearance, He looks at the heart or inner man]. Acts 10:34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: Some of the many verses that are important to this topic: Deuteronomy 1:17, 16:19; 2 Chronicles 19:7; Proverbs 24:23, 28:21; Romans 2:11; Ephesians 6:9; Colossians 3:25; 1 Timothy 2:4; James 2:9; 1 Peter 1:17; 2 Peter 3:9. He shows no favoritism or partiality like many humans do; He doesn't discriminate in any way. He judges fairly in all cases using His standards. He applies the same rules to each and everyone of us regardless of our outward appearance, financial standing, position in society, position in our government, nationality, color of skin, language we speak, etc. We will all eventually get exactly what we deserve based on our choices in this life (see all of Psalm 37 for what happens to the wicked). 2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. The above three verses confirm that this is an appointment everyone makes and no one stands beside us on judgment day; we all must give account of our own deeds. The question should be, will you be rewarded or penalized? Good reason to truly repent when necessary, don't you think. Your choice. By the way, repentance is not a one and done act. Do we repent only once as some teach? No. See the following two verses: Romans 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; [For the remission of sins that are “past”, not future sin. Check out the definition of this word “past” in a Strong's Exhaustive Concordance. Word # G4266 is Greek word, proginomai, pronounced prog-in'-om-ahee, from 4253 and 1096; to be already, i.e. have previousy transpired:--be past]. 2 Peter 1:9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. Food for thought; He only gives each of us what we can handle. He knows us very good; He created us. Some can handle more than others. He doesn’t show favoritism in any way including the giving of gifts to each person. There are many verses on this topic and two of them follow. Matthew 25:15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. 1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. What this all means is that every single man and woman He has ever created is on an equal footing with Him (a level playing field for all; He is just). It also means He has an equal and unconditional love for each person He has ever created and He is not going to be playing favorites with anyone. Totally accept this truth or reject it; your choice again. We all need to hear His truth regularly! Keep studying the entire Bible my friends. ![]()
